Service Description
Discover the World of Soft and Oil Pastels! In this class, students will explore both soft and oil pastels, learning how each medium behaves and how to use them to create vibrant, layered artworks. From smooth blending to bold mark-making, we’ll experiment with different techniques to bring depth, atmosphere, and personality into each piece. What We’ll Explore: • Learn foundational techniques for both soft and oil pastels, including blending, layering, and mark-making • Explore colour theory through vibrant pastel applications and transitions • Experiment with textures, highlights, and shadows to create depth and dimension • Develop confidence in using different pastel mediums for expressive outcomes • Create dynamic artworks ranging from soft, atmospheric pieces to bold, textured compositions
